From its diverse natural ecosystems to its urban cityscapes, the landscape inspires my artwork. I work primarily in my studio from photographs and sketches recorded from hiking and kayaking trips. Adventure and creativity happen in the studio as the painting evolves from its captured image to an abstract painterly response. My artistic process evolves naturally and spontaneously without a preconceived result, creating paintings that are both personal and expressive in nature.
